To everyone on Tribe -
Check your balls daily uWhipped !

I was just in the shower cleaning and shaving as I always do, and one of my outer labia barbells fell off.. the ball was nowhere and I didn't hear it fall. I think it may have fell off before the shower and I didn't notice, because it was difficult as hell to get the barbell back in there. It hurt some Sad
Now I have a slightly swollen and somewhat sore right labia Sad Back to babying it for me! And to try to figure out what size barbell balls I have on the other one so I can order new ones.

That sucks Trish. A couple days ago I noticed my labret stud felt really lose then felt it and noticed the ball was gone. I had been around the house cleaning too. Luckily it had just fell off within a few minutes and was right next to the computer chair, I got lucky, now i check it every few hours, whenever I think about it.

Wow, lucky you for catching it. . . Speaking of pinchers and o-rings, I think i'm gonna stretch my septum back to 8g tonight. The only 8g ring I have is for my PA, so a pincher, and retainer with o-rings gotta be checked now too. Darn, that means i gotta buy some new jewelry too. uBiggrin

Posted on March 9, 2008, 8:05 pm

Didn't really know where to put this?: Ok, easiest stretch ever, I suppose my septum was ready to go to 8g, The pincher went in like it was meant to be. It is tight on the pincher now but absolutely no pain in the process or now. Now I get the joy of losing o-rings, luckily I bought about a dozen extra, which I would always recommend buying extras if you constantly have o-rings on jewelry, cause you're gonna end up losing a few.

Has anyone ever considered using a tiny bit of loctite on jewelry threads?

You're lucky Trish - I had to go back to rings in my labia because the barbells kept trying to pull through the piercing...talk about stretching!

I've thought about it

Posted on March 9, 2008, 8:21 pm

I've thought about it primal, but i dont know if I would want a ball on that hard. i've found if you tighten them every few hours for a few days or so, then a lot of times the ball will be pretty tight on the barbell, and can be difficult to remove if you tighten it on enough. Plus i'm not exactly sure how stuck a ball would be with loctite on it? Just tight enough, or freaking out because you cant get a piece of metal out of you?

Yeah I can't wear barbells in my inners because of that.. I'm hoping the outers don't stretch that much. For now I get to stick with the rings.

Alright after lurking for a

Posted on March 10, 2008, 12:47 am

Alright after lurking for a few months on the old site and really liking the forums I'd figure I'd start posting now that the new forum is up, so here's my 20 dollar lesson. I had just gotten back from the 3 hour trip that it takes to visit the girlfriend and needless to was already missing her. We had ordered my nice new shiny 8ga CBB with some big ends for my PA and had picked it up at the shop that weekend. Anyway after some fun while chatting to the gf, I headed off to the shower. Apparently the ball backed all the way out and fell down the drain, never even heard it. Of course since we had specifically ordered this thing with bigger ends I couldn't get a replacement. Literally called every shop in austin and san antonio asking around(there's a ton btw) and finally settled with just breaking down and ordering a new ring.

That lesson only cost me some money, this next one was a bit of an oh @#$% moment. During xmas break I went home to see the parents who were none the wiser about my piercing. At the time I had my new 8ga in that had replaced the above. So one morning i'd just woke up and stumbled into the kitchen told my mom good morning and next thing i heard was the bouncing of metal on a wood floor....Of course both she and i heard it and immediately started looking for what caused the sound. Unfortunately my mother has eagle eyes and I took after my father's side and lucky if i don't run into a wall before i put on my glasses. Needless to say she found it, had no clue what it was and I manage to mumble something about it probably coming from my room.....
So always, always, always check those balls folks!!!

I'm probably going to jinx

Posted on March 10, 2008, 8:06 am

I'm probably going to jinx it, but I'm really lucky about finding jewellery that's come out.
Having said that, when my wardrobe collapsed at home my piercing jewellery went EVERYWHERE and a lot of it is still missing.
Bums.

Oh wow that sucks Alka.. it's sad to see jewelry go everywhere and go missing. I learned not to leave my jewelry box open, unattended for as little as a minute around cats.. I left the room for a minute and when I returned it was all on the floor.

Thankfully I wasn't there to see it. I haven't vacuumed for a couple of months now at least because I don't want to vac up any jewellery. I have too many nooks and crannies. God knows what happened to my jewellery box lid.

Amen to that... It's like my cats have an "inner magpie" that takes over when you're not looking, and not just for the jewelry box.

I woke up Sunday morning with my one cat wrapped around my head, trying to hook his claw into the CBR in my daith. He was pretty determined. uEek

QFT.

Twice this weekend I nearly lost a plug because the o-ring fell off. The first time it fell out during a emu session. The second time as I was bending over my bed. I figured out that the plug is a hair smaller than 8g so it really needs a 10g o-ring.

Also a pita when you're eating, the top ball comes off of the tongue barbell and you nearly chew it with your food. Sad

Darn kitties lol! That would be scary!
My 2 youngest ones seem to be determined to get to my lower navel barbell whenever I have that showing. They think the balls are toys that they can put in their mouth and drag around lol.

That's why I prefer double flared plugs.
