Call it a mid life crisis, or what ever you wish. I decided a couple of months ago that I wanted to get a piercing, Well, let me take that back, I have wanted a piercing for a long time, but being a professional, I was concerned how people would react if they saw me pierced. It was while on vacation in the Carribean, at a nude resort that I realized that I could have a piercing that no one would know about unless I wanted them to know. After much research, I decided last week that it was now or never. I found myself in Athens, GA and decided to stop at Pain and Wonder. When I entered the tattoo/piercing shop I felt sooooo out of place. Told the young man that greeted me that I wanted to talk to some one about a piercing. He told me that the piercer had stepped out but would return soon. After a few minutes Randy, the piercer walked in. There was no mistake that he was the guy that did the piercing, He obviously took his job seriously, it appeared that he had everything pierced possible. After asking every question I could think of I decided that now was the time. Randy made me feel very comfortable, eventhough I was very much out of my comfort zone. I signed the paperwork, he began the process of sterilizing everything. He washed up and escorted me to a small room that resembled a Dr. exam room. He told me to take my pants off and get comfortable on the table. He recommended that I take deep breaths and release the air slowly. As I began to breath deeply, he proceeded to take my D*** in his hand and mark the spot. After marking he asked me to look to be sure the placement was OK. (My thoughts were, I can not believe I am going to let this guy stick a 10ga needle through my D***). BREATH!!!!!He cleaned, clamped and instructed me to take a deep breath - wait a minute I thought I am in the middle of a breath. As I took my next deep breath I felt a quick burst of pain, then it was over. He said "just a minute I will put your jewlery in" Just like that it was over. I had a 10ga 5/8" barbell in my D***. WOW. That was easy. Randy was GOOD. Very little pain, minimal discomfort. It has been 6 days now. I am healing quickly - I think- Can't wait to put my tool back to work. I have heard others say that tattoo's and piercings are addicting. I think I know what them mean. I am already checking out my "junk" to determine where my next piercing will be.
