I got my ears pierced five times as a child. All by gun. All infected, swollen, allergenic, or otherwise effed up. But in October of 2008 I decided to pierce my nose. I really didn't feel like paying a piercer to do something so small and simple. [Rebellious little shit-disturber. I know. Stupid kid. I know.]
I had been wanting a new piercing for a while, and had came to the conclusion the next addition would be either my nostril or my snug. Originally I had been leaning towards my snug because I'm in college studying to become a medical lab tech, and facial piercings aren't too popular in a hospital lab, plus I'm scared of needles and a needle coming towards my face wasn't my idea of fun. Well I decided, screw it, I'd do it anyways. My friend and I had our night planned out, we'd get dinner, get pierced (my nostril, her rook), then waste some time til our movie started.
this was the first none lobe piercing i got and it didn't hurt at all! the needle didn't even feel sharp just felt like the piercer was tugging the needle through really hard.
but i think i was just lucky coz the piercer said it was the the most painful piercing she's ever got and she had a LOT of piercings!!!
also my little sister got it done a couple months after me and hers really hurt her but that could be coz she quite young (she's only 13) anyways if you want it done get it done coz in my opinion it really didn't hurt.
It's hard to believe that I've only had my Nose pierced for half a Year now. I got it done around my (16th) birthday just last year in December. I was going to get my navel done instead, but something urged me to change my mind. Im really glad I picked getting my nose done anyway because it was a fun experience to go into a Body Piercing place for the First time. The guy was Really nice, and made sure that I was comfortable and calm during the whole thing. I was Really glad that the place was pratically empty since people watching you get it done, only makes it more nerve raking.
This last august (2008) I decided to go get my nose done. I had done it myself the previous year, but it didn't go all the way through so I took it out. I was always intending to get it redone, but I never did. Finally I got up the nerve, and I asked my mom to take me that day. Since it was a Sunday, there was no where open, but we did make an appointment for the next morning at a local hair salon.
I admit it. I'm a wuss. I wanted my nose pierced very badly, and it was only this that kept me from turning around on my way to the piercing studio. I was having heart palpitations the whole way. I got there just before closing, and no one seemed terribly excited to see me. They just stared at me expectantly until I blurted out, "is there someone here who could pierce my nose?"
I got my nose pierced when i was 12...it was pierced with a gun which obviously isnt the best way but luckily it worked for me
I was pretty scared about piercing my own nose. I'd done it for other people, but never myself and wasn't sure how I'd react to the pain. After I talked myself into it, the needle glided through pretty much effortlessly, and it felt really WEIRD but it wasn't that painful. It sure does make your eyes water, though! Just remember to move it around a lot and clean it, and remember what grows in your nose, and it can and WILL accumulate on the nostril screw. So cleaning is a MUST!
The single most stressful piercing experience I have had to date was my nostril.
I got it done about three weeks ago on grad night, with the man who pierced my tongue (twice) and did my industrial about a week after the nose.
After my friend got her earlobes pierced (for the first time. So proud!), I sat down and made smalltalk with the piercer. He positioned the needle (he had to use a 16g) and pushed it through.
